Young teachers to receive MDL 120,000 in first three years of activity in Moldova

Chisinau, 03 October /MOLDPRES/ – The young specialists employed by the ministry in educational institutions in Moldova will receive increased allowances in the first three years of their activity. The Executive has approved today the decision to motivate the young specialists in the education system to work in schools, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.  

"We need to have a systemic approach, be sure that we have created an efficient education system and I assure you that then we will find the necessary money," said PM Pavel Filip.

For graduates of pedagogical faculties in higher education institutions, the allowance will increase from MDL 45,000 to MDL 120,000. The specialists will not receive their money in installments, as they were before, but they will receive an allowance of MDL 40,000 annually. The amount will be paid within one month from the date of employment, at the expiration of a year in office and at the expiration of 3 years in office.

Also, allowances for graduates of post-secondary technical vocational education will also increase. They will receive MDL 96,000 in the first 3 years of activity, with MDL 60,000 more than at present. Annually, the young specialists will raise MDL 32,000.

By strengthening the facilities system for young pedagogical specialists, the Government wants to provide education institutions with the necessary number of teachers. In study year 2018 – 2019, there are about 2,000 vacancies in educational institutions.
