Moldovan, Ukrainian officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/- The interparliamentary assembly - Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine, is not only a platform for promoting the common aspirations of transforming the countries modelled on EU and EU integration, and a mechanism to strengthen efforts against external and regional challenges to security and territorial integrity of the three states. Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi made the statement at a yesterday’s meeting with Speaker of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy, the MAEIE’s press service has reported.
Referring to the upward political dialogue between Moldova and Ukraine on all dimensions, Ulianovschi also noted the contribution of the two countries' legislators, which contributes to creating conditions for boosting the bilateral relations.
"I believe that an important step in deepening interparliamentary, commercial, economic, cultural dialogue will be your meeting with Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu in Tbilisi, as well as the meeting of the Moldovan-Ukrainian friendship group due to meet in October in Chisinau,” he said.
For his part, Andriy Parubiy said that both the Moldovan-Ukrainian collaboration and cooperation within the interparliamentary Assembly of the three states offer new possibilities for coordination and elaboration of common positions to achieve national interests, aimed at ensuring peace, democracy and stability in the region.
