Chisinau city hall to organize consultations on Christmas tree due to be set on winter holidays

Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall today informed about the organization of public consultations on the Christmas tree due to be set on the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN) on the occasion of the winter holidays.

According to the Chisinau city hall, the decision to consult citizens on this subject was taken, given that, in the previous years, the Christmas tree set on PMAN aroused more discussions in the society.

In the context, the local authorities said that, on the period 5-15 October, an opinion poll would be conducted on the official Facebook page of the Chisinau city hall and citizens are invited to answer the following question: “Which kind of Christmas tree do you want to be set on the Great National Assembly Square on the winter holidays – a natural tree or an artificial one?”

Also, the Moldovan capital’s residents can express their opinion on this subject by a message sent to the email: [email protected], also till 15 October.

Depending on the result of the opinion poll, as well as on the proposals made by citizens, a final decision will be taken.

The Christmas tree is to be inaugurated on PMAN on 1 December.
