Chisinau, 04 October /MOLDPRES/ –There were two topics on agenda of the Joint Control Commission (CUC), which met today in Bender city, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.

The Transnistrian party announced reshuffles in its delegation. Thus, as a member of the Transnistrian delegation to CUC, Vitalii Ignatiev (known as political representative of Tiraspol in the Transnistrian settlement process) was replaced by deputy head of the so-called "foreign department" of the region Ruslan Slobodeniuk.

At suggestion of Russian representatives Lieutenant Colonel, Alexei Semionov, was appointed Chief of Military Commanding of Bender city – area with increased security regime.

The Commission approved the weekly report of the Joint Military Command on the situation in the Security Zone (ZS) for 26 September – 02 October.

In the subsequent talks, the Moldovan delegation requested explanations for the Transnistrian component of provocative actions undertaken by so called "militia" in Dubasari city, which on 03 October 2018, so called Transnistrian "MGB" detained the workers of Contava Com SRL from village Cocieri during their technical works in village Corjova, Dubasari district, as part of a social project for settlement of locality. The workers were released after the prompt intervention of the representatives of the Moldovan delegation and police. The explanations were also requested regarding the blocking by the Transnistrian side of the on-site visit of military observers to document the violation.

These actions, as well as other cases of violation of the right to free movement in ZS, point out once more the abuses committed by so called Transnistrian force structures and draw attention to the need to promote a new concept on assuring  security of citizens in the area of responsibility of Joint Peacekeeping Forces.

The next JCC meeting is held on 11 October 2018.
