Poland to back Moldova within EU pre – accession reforms

Chisinau, 04 October /MOLDPRES/ – Poland is and will continue to be the ambassador of Moldova and support the EU pre – accession reforms. The statement was made at the meeting of Parliament Speaker, Andrian Candu, with the Polish Senate Marshal, Stanislaw Karczewski, who is on a visit to Moldova on 04 – 06 October at the invitation of Andrian Candu, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
"Poland is the state that has helped and unreservedly help us and promotes the interests of Moldova in the European Union. Poland is the country that helped Moldova in the export crisis of Moldovan products," said Andrian Candu.
Also, the SP referred to the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of Moldova and Poland, which has an important role to play in strengthening the Moldovan – Polish dialogue.
The Marshal of the Senate of Poland also said that Poland will continue to support the Republic of Moldova and will share Poland's EU accession experience.
Deputy SP, Valeriu Ghiletchi, President of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Commission, Violeta Ivanov, President of the Moldovan – Polish Parliamentary Friendship Group, Roman Botan, Co – President of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Moldova and Poland, Nae-Simion Plesca, MPs Igor Vremea and Oleg Lipskii.
The Marshal of the Senate of Poland visited the plenary session hall and left a message in the Honorary Book of the Parliament. On 05 October, the Polish delegation will meet with representatives of all parliamentary factions.
Moldova has benefited from support for further modernisation reforms in the form of financial support under the Polish Development Assistance Programme. There are implemented the policies for good governance/regional development, as well as sustainable agriculture and rural development in Moldova.
