Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/- Decree for initiating negotiations on the draft agreement between Moldova and Spain on social security has been published in the Official Journal of Moldova.

Under the document, negotiations will begin this month. The delegation to negotiations will include 10 officials from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the National Social Insurance House and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.

Head of the delegation, Nelea Rusu, secretary of state for social and health insurance, Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection has been empowered to initial the agreement’s text.

The agreement aims to set out a framework for social security for migrant workers who reside and / or carry out employment in the territory of one or both of the Contracting States.

Moldova has signed 13 bilateral agreements on social security with Romania, Portugal, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Austria, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Belgium, Lithuania, Germany and Turkey.
