Moldovan economics minister provides details on re-establishment of phone connection between two banks of Dniester

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici has provided details on the re-establishment of the phone connection between the two banks of Dniester in an interview given exclusively to MOLDPRES.  

Gaburici said that a working group, set up to this end, was working and had already achieved results. Yet, the situation cannot be changed overnight, he noted. According to Gaburici, there are more aspects which are to be given final touches, in terms of covering, frequencies and inter-connection.   

„There is much work to be done, as some frequencies are already occupied. Yet, I hope that we will reach common mind. Anyway, we move forward and we have certain results. I want us to have possibility to call the relatives who are in the Transnistrian region. I hope that we will be able to solve this issue,” the minister added.   

In early last September, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic, in an interview given to MOLDPRES, said that decision-takers were making efforts to resume the phone connection between the two banks of Dniester; yet, the final decisions will be announced when the positions are given final touches.
