Over 7,000 lease contracts registered in first nine months of 2018

Chisinau, 24 October /MOLDPRES/- Over 7 thousand lease contracts were registered with the State Tax Service in first nine months of 2018. At the same time, over 500 thousand lei were accumulated in the budget, following the checks carried out on the people who rent out buildings.
Tax audits covered about 350 private people who give in rent real estate, with additional payment to the budget amounting to 409,000 lei, penalties of 57,000 lei and fines of 43,000 lei.
Only in the last two months, the Tax Service recorded 2,122 lease contracts throughout the country.
Under the legislation, individuals who give in rent real estate must pay the tax amounting to 7 percent of revenue. The tax is to be paid at the latest on the 2nd of the current month or in advance at any commercial bank or post office of the Republic of Moldova. Lease contracts are recorded at tax service departments across location of the property.
Private people, who do not meet their obligations, run the risk of fines and penalties in accordance with the provisions of the Tax Code.
