Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament is to approve the organizational structure and the limit staff of the Competition Council. A draft decision to this effect was discussed at a meeting of the parliament’s commission for economy, budget and finances today.
The head of this commission, Stefan Creanga, said the document due to be proposed to MPs for approval was aimed at optimizing the organizational structure of the Competition Council, in order to optimize the work in the sectors the Council is in charge of.
The Competition Council will have 130 employees, or by two staff units less than in 2018. In comparison with the present structure, the basic subdivisions of the institution remain unchanged. These subdivisions carry out anti-cartel actions, investigate anti-competition practices and the unfair competition, monitor the state assistance. The amendments regard the subdivisions which provide organizational, material and financial assistance to the Plenum of the Competition Council and structural units which fulfill the basic duties of the authority.
The concerned draft does not imply the increase or cutting the budgetary expenses and meets the budget of the Competition Council, approved in the state budget law for 2019.
