Moldovan government to organize events of commemorating those died in Dniestre war

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/- The cabinet today approved the plan of events dedicated to the day of commemorating those who died in the Dniestre War, marked annually on 2 March. The document includes a lot of actions, due to be organized in Chisinau and in areas of the country, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
In the capital, the ceremony will begin with the march of remembrance, laying flowers and a commemorative rally at the Eternity compound. At the same time, meetings with the veterans of the Dniester war will be organized in the country's educational institutions and military units. However, commemorative plaques will be installed in many localities, and some streets will be renamed in memory of the fallen heroes.
The action plan also provides annual support for families of victims and persons with disabilities. They will also receive the necessary health care.
This year, 27 years have passed since the beginning of the fighting for defending the integrity and independence of Moldova. About 60 thousand soldiers were involved in the armed conflict on the Dniestre.
