Moldovan government earmarked 800,000 lei to veterans for purchasing or renovating dwelling

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/- 16 veterans from the six districts of the country will get one-off allowance from the state for the construction, restoration or purchase of dwelling. The government approved the ruling today.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, for this purpose, almost 800 thousand lei will be allocated from the state budget. The money will be transferred to the local public authorities. The largest amounts will be distributed to Drochia – 205,000 lei, and Stefan Voda – 184,000 lei. Cahul and Ungheni – 123,000 lei. The rest of the amount will be directed to the authorities in Briceni and Riscani.

The one-off allowance for building, renovating or purchasing the dwelling is granted annually to people who have suffered from armed conflicts and their families, victims of the Chernobyl disaster and war veterans. This year, 8.5 million lei were provided for the granting of these benefits.
