War veterans' attendants to benefit from free tickets to sanitarium in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ – The attendants of persons with severe disability from the war will be entitled to a free sanatorium treatment ticket, which includes the full package of recovery and rehabilitation services. The amendments to the Regulation regarding the conditions, the way to insure, record and distribute the sanatorium treatment tickets to veterans have been approved by the executive today, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
According to the document, an accompanying person can be any citizen of Moldova who has reached the age of 18 years and is able to provide supervision, support and care for the beneficiary during his/her stay at sanatorium treatment. If the person meets these conditions and is in queue, the National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) or the territorial houses have the right to issue tickets for the same period to the attendant and the person with severe disabilities from the war.
The tickets will be released upon presentation of the certificate of receipt for the treatment ticket and identity papers or passport, in case of sanatorium treatment abroad.
In Moldova there are 1,405 persons with disabilities from the war, out of whom 322 are persons with a severe degree. In order to ensure the right to the attendant during the sanatorium treatment, it was allocated about MDL 2.5 million from the state budget (BS).
Also, the project approved today aims to ensure access for disadvantaged persons and families to the social services included in the minimum package of social services. The Executive has excluded the temporary nature of the rule that only referred to 2018. The decision aims to further ensure access for disadvantaged persons to the minimum package of social services, such as: monetary support – addressed to disadvantaged persons and families, support for families which have children in difficulty, but also personal assistance – for persons with disabilities of first degree.
To finance the minimum package of social services, it is provided the amount of MDL 64 million in the BS.
