Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ – The authorities of the self – proclaimed TMR intend to open regional offices in Brussels and Kiev, just as it was opened in January at Moscow. This is what the so – called leader of region, Vadim Krasnoselski, has announced today at a meeting in Tiraspol, with reference to electronic sources.
"The head of TMR has mandated the Foreign Affairs Ministry to open official representations of the Transnistrian Moldovan republic in Kiev and Brussels," points out the press service of the alleged foreign ministry in Tiraspol.
After the TMR representation in Moscow was opened, the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration called on Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Chisinau, Oleg Vasnetov, for explanation. As a result, the head of the Russian diplomatic mission announced that the so – called representation is a non – commercial organisation that provides legal assistance services to the inhabitants of the Transnistrian region. According to the ambassador, this organisation was registered with the Ministry of Justice in Moscow.
Previously, the Russian Foreign Minister had informed that the opening of the Transnistrian Development Fund for Social and Cultural Relations in Moscow did not change the position of Kremlin on the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict. Also, the Russian diplomacy noted that "the fund aims to preserve and promote the culture of ethnicities living on the territory of the Transnistrian region, their integration into Russian culture as well as the universal one".
