Reconstruction works of stairs in Valea Morilor Park resumed

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/- The reconstruction works of the granite stairs in Valea Morilor Park in the capital were resumed. The objective is achieved in a proportion of 60 percent and is due to be put into operation in July this year.

According to the Chisinau city hall, site reconstruction works were partially stopped during January, due to bad weather conditions. At present, the plumbing stands are mounted on the site, and in parallel there are preparatory works for the casting of the last stage of the supporting walls and the calibration of the granite plates for the stepping of the stairs.

The reconstruction of the granite staircase started in June 2018 and was possible under a grant of 18 million 970 thousand lei (about 920 thousand euros), provided by the Local Council of Sector 1 of Bucharest. At the same time, the contribution of the Chisinau city hall is 5% of the project.
