Moldovan National Healthcare Insurances Company launches video guide to inform citizens about free of charge medication

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ – The National Healthcare Insurance Company (CNAM) has launched today a video guide informing citizens about how to obtain free medicines.

Head of the media information and communication service of the nominated company, Silvia Munteanu, said the guide presented the steps to be taken to receive free medicines and indicate who might be the beneficiaries of these medicines.

The video guide was produced in the Romanian and Russian languages and it is placed on the CNAM website. It will also be shown on screens located in medical institutions.

According to an order of the Ministry of Healthcare, Labour and Social Protection (MSMPS), since 01 February, the citizens can have at least one free medicine from the list of compensated ones. These preparations are for the treatment of the most common diseases. The prescription of compensated medicines is performed by family doctors, neurologists, psychiatrists, endocrinologists and pediatricians of healthcare providers contracted by the CNAM, irrespective of the legal form of organisation.
