Number of Moldovans purchasing discount health insurance policies increased

Chisinau, 13 February /MOLDPRES/- About 19,500 people paid the mandatory health insurance in fixed amount (AOAM) in January 2019, up by 2,000 than in the same period last year.

According to data by the National Health Insurance Company, out of the total number of payers, over 13,300 people benefited from a 50% discount. It is about founders of individual enterprises, patent holders, lessees and foreigners with the right of temporary residence in Moldova.

The number of people who had bought policies with 50% discount via MPay electronic payment service doubled in January 2019, compared to the same period last year. This year, it can be bought with 4,056 lei. Discounts of 50%, 60% and 75% are valid until 1 April.
