Ballot papers for national constituency printed

Chisinau, 13 February /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today announced the start of printing ballots for parliamentary elections in the national constituency.
For the national constituency, 14 parties and one electoral bloc are included in the ballot.
CEC head Alina Russu said that the price of a bulletin is 0.33 lei. "Ballot papers have more protection. In the polling stations in the country, they will be distributed from 20 February," she said.
About 12 million ballots will be printed for the parliamentary elections and the republican consultative referendum.
The 24 February parliamentary elections will be held for the first time under a mixed electoral system. Thus, 50 MPs will be elected on party lists and 51 parliamentarians in uninominal constituencies. On the same day, a consultative referendum on reducing the number of deputies and their dismissal will be held.
