National Army soldiers participated in international exercise

Chisinau, 14 February /MOLDPRES/- National Army soldiers of KFOR 10 participated in the Jewelled Dagger 3 exercise, conducted by the command of the West multinational force group.
Ion Godoroja, commander of KFOR 10, said that the training, involving about 100 Austrian, Italian, Moldovan and Slovenian soldiers, aimed at testing the efficiency of deploying staff in the area of operations, in order to carry out the missions in accordance with UN Resolution.
He noted that National Army infantry platoon was involved, according to the scenario in patrols on foot and air, to ensure the protection of the helicopter landing area, and the group of sappers investigated and cleared the territory of explosive objects.
The KFOR-10 contingent was deployed to Kosovo in December 2018 and consists of 41 soldiers, including seven sappers, 33 infantrymen, and a senior state officer. They will be in Kosovo for half a year.
