People with locomotor disabilities of Moldova to be exempted from customs payments on import of certain types of touring cars as of 15 February

Chisinau, 14 February /MOLDPRES/ - People with locomotor disabilities will be exempted from the customs payments on the import of touring cars with a cylinder capacity of up to 2,500 cubic cm, no matter the exploitation period. The amendments will enter into force once published in the Official Journal of Moldova (Monitorul Oficial) on 15 February.
Under the document, to benefit from exemptions, applicants will have to present a string of acts provided for in the Regulation on the way fiscal and customs facilities are applied on the import of special transport means.
According to the customs authorities, the amendments considerably simplify the procedure of import of special touring cars, with the conditions seeing that the touring car should be properly donated or re-equipped removed.
Also, such vehicles could be imported with exemptions once in five years. So far, this was possible only after the expiration of the deadline of seven years.
Another novelty is that all people with special needs, no matter the degree of disability, will benefit from the aforementioned facilities.
