Chisinau, 14 February /MOLDPRES/- Children who have impaired vision, hearing or physical disabilities will be able to attend sports groups. The provisions are included in the new Regulation on organization and functioning of sports schools, which will enter into force tomorrow with the publication in the Official Journal of Moldova.
Another issue is related to the early school year. Thus, sports schools will begin study year on 1 September and not 1 January, as it is today. At the same time, the age of admission for several categories of sports, including gymnastics, football, wrestling, basketball and tennis, will be reduced.
The regulation also provides for setting new subjects, such as beach football, biathlon, hockey, football-tennis, wrestling and racing.
In order to appreciate the performance of the best international athletes and their inclusion in the national team, the World Games and the Youth Olympic Games - contests that previously were not on the list of official competitions - will be considered. Also, athletes, winners of national championships and official international competitions, will be able to continue their training in Advanced group after the age of 21, now is 20 years.
In our country there are 93 sports schools and six sports high schools.
