Chisinau, 14 February /MOLDPRES/ - The draft laws on which the government took responsibility earlier this week will be submitted to President Igor Dodon for promulgation on 15 February. The deputy leader of the Moldovan Democratic Party (PDM), Vladimir Cebotari, made statements to this effect at a news briefing today.
According to Cebotari, those three days set by the law, on which political parties can initiate a vote of no confidence in the cabinet, expire today. “There are more parties which announced that they would not file motions; respectively, the drafts are to be submitted to the presidency for promulgation on 15 February, so that they enter into force immediately after they are published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial),”Cebotari noted.
The PDM’s deputy leader also said that the drafts on which the government had taken responsibility were meant to settle certain omissions which occurred in previous laws, aimed at stimulating the increases in salaries. Vladimir Cebotari showed contented with the fact that the government had acted promptly to solve the problems notified by citizens. “This is how we see the work between the governance and people, without procrastination and with immediate actions,” Cebotari added.
At a meeting on 11 February, the cabinet took responsibility on seven draft laws regarding amendments to the state budget and the state social insurances budget, as well as amendments to the law on the Balti Free Economic Zone.
