Chisinau, 14 February /MOLDPRES/- The decision of the Court of Accounts on the audit of compliance of pensions in Moldova will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 15 February.

The audit aimed at verifying compliance of enforcement by the social security body and law enforcement institutions with the current legislation.

Audit checks have identified uncertainties, problems and non-conformities in the pension process. Thus, the non-uniform application of the coefficient of the professional level of the insured, in cases where the old-age pensioner did not achieve the required contribution period, determined the decrease of the benefit of some beneficiaries in the amount of 98 to 852 lei.

The Court also found that the pension of beneficiaries former employees of law enforcement bodies was granted under data set by the respective institutions, which, in some cases, were unreasonable, thus leading to irregular expenses amounting to 963.3 thousand lei.

The external public audit made possible solutions to remedy the identified shortcomings and put forward several recommendations.
