Moldovan Court of Accounts to make audit of project on reconstruction of Presidency

Chisinau, 14 February /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament’s decision on the requesting of a mission of external audit of the project on technical assistance on the reconstruction of the Moldovan Presidency’s building will be published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) on 15 February.  

The audit mission will be carried out by the Court of Accounts. The decision entered into force on the date of adoption.

The initiative on the carrying out of the audit mission belongs to the Party of Communists, according to which the reconstruction of the presidency’s building would have been carried out with infringements of the legislation and the process would not have been transparent.    

The presidency’s building was fully restored with the support of Turkey. The works cost about ten million euros.  

Moldova’s parliament has right to ask the Court of Accounts to carry out public audit missions.
