Three Moldovan plastic artists exhibit works in Chisinau municipality

Chisinau, 14 February /MOLDPRES/ – An exhibition of painting, graphics and sculpture: Trinitate of plastic artists Eleonora Brigalda, Stefan Popa and Valeria Barbas, mother, father and daughter respectively, has been vernised at the Exhibition Centre Constantin Brancusi in Chisinau municipality today.  

The gallery exhibits almost 200 works by different artists, made in cloth oil, acrylic, collage, graphics and sculpture.

Interviewed by agency, university professor Eleonora Brigalda, mentioned that it is the first group exhibition of its family members. "The exhibition presents works in various conceptual approaches, made by us in 20 years of artistic activity. In fact, there are three mini – personal exhibitions that form an integral one – Trinitate. This is not about divine or family trinity, because the age, formation and experience are different, but what unites us is the love for art, and we try to reveal our personal self in these areas," specified Eleanora Brigalda.

The head of the Moldovan Artists Union, Dumitru Bolboceanu, said that the three artists have been exhibited in Moldova and abroad, they participate in international creative camps, they are laureates of several contests organised by the Union of Plastic Artists (UAP), as well as in various international competitions. Valeria Barbas, daughter of Eleonora Brigalda and Stefan Popa is a very promising artist which makes painting, writes music and is an interpreter. She wrote a doctoral thesis in the study of arts and culturology and based on it, she published a book about the New Music Festival," said Dumitru Bolboceanu.

The have also referred upon exhibits the art critics: Constantin Spanu, Liviu Hancu, Florina Breazu, university professor Vladimir Paslaru, etc.

Eleonora Brigalda, a doctor of arts studies and Stefan Popa, a doctor of pedagogy, has a vast teaching activity and Valeria Barbas, a doctor of arts and culturology, has a plurivalent scientific and artistic activity, being a composer, interpreter, member of the Union of Composers and Musicologists (UCM) and UAP of Moldova.

The exhibition is open until 03 March.
