The opening of the new district is a nice achievement of the police system. We have managed to buy hundreds of new vehicles and train policemen, in order to provide qualitative services to citizens. We will not stop here, the reformation actions will continue,” Panzari said.

„We want the local public administration be closer to citizens, whom we could provide safety. I am sure that, along with the colleagues from the police, we can cope with challenges. You have our every support to create good things in the interest of the community,” the Chisinau acting general mayor, Ruslan Codreanu, said.

The deputy head of the Chisinau municipality’s police department, Silviu Musuc, noted that the new district had been built from scratch. “It is endowed with furniture and modern technology. About 20 policemen will work at the institution non-stop. Till the end of this year, we are set to open another 4-5 such districts,” Music added.

The construction of the new district cost 3.4 million lei and was financed from the state budget, within the police reform. According to the authorities, the money is to be reimbursed by European partners.
