Moldovan leu maintains position against main reference currencies

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan leu maintains its position against the principal reference currencies, according to the official exchange rates posted by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM).
Thus, in early next week, only the single European currency will appreciate by 0.01 leu, while other currencies will have a quotation similar to the today’s one.
The euro will cost 19.31 lei. The Romanian leu will be quoted for 4.07 lei. The Ukrainian hryvnia will preserve the quotation of 0.62 lei. The same thing will happen in the case of the Russian rouble too, which will keep its value of 0.25 lei.
The official exchange rate represents the price of the Moldovan leu against the currencies of other countries. It is calculated based on the exchange rates established by the licenced banks in transactions of sale/purchase of currencies, made with their clients and with other banks.
