Most citizens likely to vote for EU accession – survey

Chisinau, 18 February /MOLDPRES/- Most citizens would vote for EU accession, while support for the Eurasian Economic Union is lower, with less than half of respondents in favor of this option. The data were presented in a poll conducted and presented by IMAS.
According to the study, when choosing between the options for the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union, the voters are divided, with more options for the European vector.
At the same time, the perceptions of Moldovans on their lives now, compared to a year ago, remain at a low level, but have improved in comparison with February 2018. Also, citizens are more optimistic about the period ahead.
Also, survey data show that more than three-quarters of people say they are interested in coming elections, and 60% say they are really interested. Only 10% say they are not interested.
The survey was conducted by IMAS in collaboration with Lake Research Partners. The study was conducted on 3-16 February, on a sample of over 1,500 respondents from 124 localities. The error margin is +/- 2.53%.
