Moldovan Agency of Interventions and Payments for Agriculture authorises subsidies worth over 180 million lei to be paid to farmers since early 2019

Chisinau, 19 February /MOLDPRES/ – Since the beginning of 2019, the Agency for Intervention and Payment for Agriculture (AIPA) has authorised to pay subsidies of MDL 184 million for agricultural producers. The money has reached almost 2,000 applicants.
The subsidies granted are debts left unfinished in 2018 due to the exhaustion of the National fund for agriculture and rural development (FNDAMR), which amounted up to MDL 900 million.
The AIPA has announced that the state will also support the construction of greenhouses in 2019, establishment of multiannual plantations, purchase of agricultural machinery, livestock, organic farming, promotion of products on the markets, development of rural agro – tourism establishments and creation or extension of craft units. The subsidies will also be granted for new businesses in the agro – industrial sector initiated by young and female entrepreneurs.
The campaign to receive subsidies was launched on 01 February 2019. The applications for advance payments may be submitted until 08 April, and those for classical subsidy – until 31 October 2019,
The budget amount of the FNDAMR consists MDL 900 million in 2019.
