Chisinau, 19 February /MOLDPRES/ – Energocom State Company, Cuciurgan Power Plant, Ukrainian company DTEK Pavlogradugoli and TehGaz Grup have submitted intentional power delivery letters to the RED Union Fenosa (RUF) foreign – owned enterprise for 01 April 2019 – 31 March 2020, according to a company release.
"On 18 February 2019, the stage of receiving letters of intent to participate in the electricity supply process was completed," said the Foreign Relations Department of RUF.
Subsequently, the received technical and economic offers are to be evaluated in the tender with the participation of the Observers Group in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI) and the internal procedures regulating the initiated process in order to identify the best proposal. The procedure will be finalised by negotiating and signing the new electricity supply contract and submitting it to the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE).
The average purchase price is about 5.24 USD cents/kWh. Although the purchase price offered by the two suppliers is higher than in the previous contract, electricity tariffs paid by citizens for electricity supplied by Gas Natural Fenosa Energy Supply were reduced by 10 per cent by a decision approved in June 2018 by the ANRE.
