Five new trolleys equipped with video monitoring systems, USB sockets to operate in Chisinau

Chisinau, 20 February /MOLDPRES/- By late this month, five new independent propulsion trolleybuses with video surveillance system will be put into circulation. Means of transport are the first units of this type assembled at Chisinau Electric Transport (RTEC).

According to Chisinau city hall, the USB plugs will be used by passengers to charge mobile phones and other electronic devices. At the same time, the video monitoring system will allow management of boarding / disembarkation of the passengers in the means of transport and increase in traffic safety.

According to RTEC Director Dorin Ciornâi, the assembly works of 3 transport units from the first batch of the 5 planned for 2019 are currently in final stage. These trolleybuses are equipped with air conditioning, window heating and rear-view mirrors.

In the municipal budget for this year, 102 million lei were earmarked for the purchase of 30 autonomous propulsion trolleys, which will be delivered to RTEC for the final assembly by the Belkommunmash plant in Belarus.
