50 families from Edinet, Anenii Noi received free smoke detectors

Chisinau, 20 February /MOLDPRES/- Employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) have installed over 50 smoke detectors in households from Edinet and Anenii Noi districts over the past week. The actions take place in the campaign to prevent the risk of fires and carbon monoxide poisoning during the cold season, A protected home - a saved life.

IGSU press officer Liliana Puscasu said that the devices were installed in households of many large families, elderly people and people with disabilities.

IGSU employees have installed toxic smoke detection facilities in Chetroşică Nouă locality, Edinet district, and Teliţa, Maximovca and Mereni, Anenii Noi district. At the same time, the rescuers trained people in the use of heating stoves, the operation of household electrical appliances, and the use of thermal boilers.

"In the next period, the campaign will reach Hirova and Rădeni, Călăraşi district, Lopatnic locality, Edinet district and in several villages from the districts of Glodeni and Anenii Noi,” Puscasu said.

According to IGSU data, since launching the campaign, A protected house - a saved life campaign, at least five families have avoided the risk of tragedies once the installations. During this period, 4,851 families in our country received free smoke detectors.
