Chisinau, 20 February /MOLDPRES/- 31 new buses will run on the streets of the capital. The procurement contract was signed today in Chisinau. The new transport units cost 78 million lei, the price of a bus being 130 thousand euros (2.6 million lei).
The first 25 buses are to be delivered within two weeks and six other units will be in the possession of the Urban Bus Park in the next two months. The new buses are ISUZU Cityport, Euro 6 standard. The units also have air conditioning.
The bus purchase agreement was concluded between Urban Bus Park and official dealer of ISUZU Bus Factory in Turkey, Unipay Danishmanlik Yazilim Teknolojileri Ltd.
PUA head Vitalie Copaci said the dealer had offered guarantees that the buses were new, being produced in 2017-2018. "It was not a priority to buy the cheapest buses from a legal point of view, but the evaluation was technically and economically," he said.
Serghei Daradur, official representative of Unipay Danishmanlik Yazilim Teknolojileri in Moldova, said the unit price for PUA is more favorable than that provided for deliveries to other states. "Such a bus model was sold in Romania, Azerbaijan and the Baltic Countries with 150-200 thousand euros per unit, compared to 130 thousand euros for Moldova".
According to the city hall, the local public administration working group has nominated as the winner the official dealer of ISUZU Bus Factory in Turkey, and the evaluation criterion was the price / quality ratio in the margin of allocated amount and not the lowest price.
The same model of buses was purchased last year by the city halls of Constanta, Iasi and Sibiu, Romania.
