Meteorologists announce yellow code of strong wind

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/- The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) today announced yellow code of strong wind.

According to meteorologists, today, in some areas, the northwest strong wind is expected, gusting up to 15-20 meters per second.

In this context, rescuers recommend avoiding places where there are dry trees or high voltage electrical wires.

The weather will cool down. According to SHS data, air temperatures across the country will rise to +2 -3 degrees Celsius at night and up to +5 +7 degrees during the day. On 22 February, snow and sleet are expected in the country. On Saturday will be even cooler, and thermometers will only indicate values below zero degrees.

If yellow code, weather conditions are potentially dangerous, forecast weather phenomena are common for the country, but temporarily can become dangerous for certain socio-economic activities.
