Moldovan electoral body gets all reports of parliamentary elections

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission has received and processed all reports from the polling stations in the country. CEC data show that the Party of Socialists (PSRM) got 31.15% of votes, the ACUM bloc - 26.84%, the Democratic Party of Moldova - 23.62% and the Shor Party - 8,32%.
According to CEC data, 1,453,013 citizens of the Republic of Moldova participated in the 24 February polls, which represents 49.22% of the total number of voters on the electoral rolls. Most of them, about 31.75% were citizens aged over 56 years, 25.63% - 41-55 years. The most passive (8.5%) were youngsters under 25. Of the total number of voters present at the ballot box, the majority (53.18%) were women and 46.82% men.
In the uninominal constituencies, most mandates were got by the PDM, PSRM and ACUM bloc.
According to the provisions of the electoral legislation, the electoral bureaus have 48 hours from the closure of the polling stations to submit to the CEC the reports on the voting results. Subsequently, the CEC will make summing up within 5 days, and will submit the documents to the Constitutional Court that will confirm or deny the legality of elections.
