Miners liquidate twenty three thrower bombs discovered near forest in Moldova’s south – eastern district

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ – An arsenal consisting of 23 thrower and 03 artillery missiles discovered near a forest in Causeni were liquidated by the National Army's miners.

According to the head of the engineer's service, Adrian Efros, the munitions were discovered by the locals in the forest by village Plop – Stiubei. They alerted the authorities and called for military assistance.

The munitions that date back to WWII were destroyed by the sappers of Battalion Codru from Negresti under maximum safety.

According to the Ministry of Defence's data, from the beginning of 2019, the military sappers have executed 11 demining missions, during which they dismantled 72 explosive objects in different localities of Moldova.
