IGP, CNPDCP sign cooperation agreement

Chisinau, 27 February /MOLDPRES/- The General Police Inspectorate (IGP) and the National Center for Personal Data Protection (CNPDCP) signed a collaboration agreement today in Chisinau.
The agreement on the protection of personal data was signed by IGP head Alexandru Pânzari and CNPDCP director Eduard Răducan.
Alexandru Pânzari said that the confidentiality of personal data is a priority for police. "We are guiding the law, but we want to be even better because we process a lot of personal information," Pânzari said.
For his part, Eduard Răducan said that the police is one of the largest personal data operators in the Republic of Moldova, processing a large number of data and it is important that they are used in accordance with the law.
The cooperation agreement provides for the exchange of experience, training for police staff and participation in joint meetings on the protection of personal data.
