Moldovan government extends list of aid recipients worth MDL 1,000

Chisinau, 27 February /MOLDPRES/ – The husbands/wives and parents of the deceased persons in the peacetime fighting actions, ones with disabilities from war and participants in the liquidation of the consequences of Chernobyl disaster will receive material aid of MDL 1,000. The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the Regulation on how to fix and pay the material aid today.
According to the government's communication and protocol department, the project increases the social protection of the families of the ones which fell on the battlefield, persons with disabilities from war and dead participants in the liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl disaster, by excluding conditionality of being "unmarried or unable to work" for husbands/spouses and "unable to work" for their parents. Thus, the list of aid recipients has been extended.
Also, the document sets out how this aid will be raised by citizens residing on the left bank of the Dniester river. Related to it, the localities in the Transnistrian region will be assigned to the territorial structures of social assistance within the local public administration authorities (AAPL) adjacent to them.
It was allocated the amount of MDL 425 thousand for project implementation in 2019.
