Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) today announced the principles of the formation’s cooperation with the parties due to enter the future parliament and set a string of priorities PDM would be guided by in the next years.

At a news briefing, PDM deputy leader Vlad Cebotari submitted letters to the representatives of the ACUM political bloc, in order to start negotiations for the creation of a new ruling coalition. “We said from the very beginning that our list or the order in which we would like to hold these negotiations start from the ACUM bloc,” Cebotari said.

He noted that, if a governance coalition is set up, PDM would have the following priorities: improvement of the Moldovans’ living standards through increasing the incomes of the citizens; support for the market economy; zero tolerance to corruption; modernization of the infrastructure and continuing the projects underway.

Among the priorities set forth, there is also the implementation of the Moldova-European Union Association Agreement.

The PDM deputy leader said that he was expecting the members of the ACUM bloc to talks, both together and individually.

„I heard the statements of the deputy leader of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) that, several days after the mandates are validated, this bloc was to be liquidated. There are also other people saying other things. We know about the dissensions existing inside the ACUM bloc. Therefore, if they have no capacity to be organized as a unitary bloc to participate in the negotiations, we will discuss with them also separately, if they accept to discuss,” Cebotari said.
