Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - A new meeting of the working groups on customs issues took place at the Chisinau-based OSCE Mission in Moldova today. The event was held with the participation of sectoral experts from both banks of Dniester, including specialists in the health and pharmacology fields, as well as representatives of mediators and observers in the five-plus-two negotiations.
According to the Reintegration Bureau, the discussions were focused on the subject of imports of medicines and medical preparations to the Transnistrian region, especially through the crossing point Kuchurgan-Pervomaysk, placed on the central segment of the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border.
The Moldovan side reviewed the requirements of the concerned normative framework and reiterated the need of compliance to the exigencies of the legislation in force as to the carrying out of the import-export operations by economic agents from the region, with the proper registration and documentation of specialized entrepreneurs’ activity at Moldova’s competent bodies, making the customs procedures in line with the provisions of the national normative acts.
The Moldovan side also informed about the need to de-politicize the aspects regarding the import-export of goods to the region, in the context of organizing the joint control. The delegation made an appeal to hold additional trainings with relevant actors from the country’s eastern districts, in order to bring their work in accordance with the normative requirements enforced all over Moldova.
