Moldovan electoral body presents results of parliamentary elections

Chisinau, 3 March /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today approved the final report and the report on the results of the 24 February parliamentary elections.
Following the results obtained in the national constituency, the Party of Socialists (PSRM) got 18 mandates of MP in the parliament, the ACUM bloc - 14 mandates, the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) - 13 mandates and the Shor party – 5 mandates.
At the same time, in the uninominal constituencies PDM won 17 MP mandates, PSRM - 17, ACUM bloc - 12, independent candidates - 3 and Shor party - two.
The report on the election results and the CEC report will be sent to the Constitutional Court, which will have five days to confirm or deny the legality of the elections.
Also, CEC summed up the results of the consultative referendum. The plebiscite was declared valid.
