Chisinau, 13 March /MOLDPRES/ – Over 20 grape producers of Moldova will participate on Sunday, 24 March, at a grape sale fair held in the Metropolitan Cathedral square in the Chisinau centre.
The grapes will only be sold in the crate. The organisers have urged the residents of Chisinau to participate in the event as to support domestic producers who still have large quantities of grapes in refrigerators.
"If every family in Chisinau would buy a grain crate (MDL 05 – 06/kg) and a crate of apples (MDL 03 – 04/kg) in upcoming few weeks, then we are saved," said the event organiser, young businessman from Durilesti, Diana Crudu.
According to statistical data, the Moldovan producers harvested 680 thousand tonnes of grapes on a total area of 128 thousand ha of vineyard in 2018.
