Over 150 companies from nine countries participate in agricultural exhibition in Moldova

Chisinau, 13 March /MOLDPRES/ - More than 150 companies from nine countries participate in the spring issue of the MOLDAGROTECH international specialized exhibition of machines, equipment and technologies for the agro-industrial complex, inaugurated at the Chisinau-based Moldexpo Centre today.
Companies from Moldova, Austria, Bulgaria, Russia, Italy, Spain, Romania, the Czech Republic and Ukraine participate in the exhibition, which is at its 36th issue. These companies display the latest novelties in the agricultural technologies sector. More exactly, the offer of the exhibition comprises over 1,000 models of agricultural machines and equipment, the most modern technologies and equipment for irrigation, animal husbandry, vegetal production and vine growing, greenhouses, fertilizers and products for protecting plants, seed material.
Attending the opening of the exhibition, Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Minister Nicolae Ciubuc said that the event gave farmers opportunity to learn new modern technologies in the sector. “The advantage is that the exhibition coincides with the period of the beginning of the agricultural works, when producers are looking for advanced agricultural technology, as well as seeds, planting material, chemical fertilizers and fertilizers of the best quality,” the minister stressed.
Nicolae Ciubuc noted that new opportunities of cooperation between economic agents from Moldova with partners from abroad would be outlined, new contacts between producers and users of agricultural technology and equipment, equipment for the processing industry, phyto-sanitary goods and fertilizers, planting and seed materials would be established.
At the same time, a string of seminars, roundtables, trainings will be organized on those four days of the exhibition, during which scientists, experts in the field will tackle the most topical and useful subjects, in order to make agriculture more attractive.
The exhibition will be staged till 16 March.
