Chisinau, 14 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) today launched a new invitation to dialogue to the ACUM bloc. Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu has made statements to this effect, held at the meeting of the formation’s Executive Council.
According to Candu, the invitation was made public, in order to avoid speculations. “We should assume responsibility before citizens, we can find solutions through dialogue and communication,” Candu noted.
The speaker said that it regretted the fact that the first invitation to dialogue had been refused. “If the leaders of the ACUM electoral bloc accepted the dialogue, they would have seen that the PDM team is quite flexible and has, first of all, the interest of the citizens and of the commitments we took in the electoral campaign. Even if PDM has more mandates in parliament, we would be willing to offer to the ACUM colleagues the leadership of the future government, including the office of the prime minister. We would have showed them flexibility in everything means dialogue and everything concerning the interest of the citizen and the interest of the country,” Candu noted.
Andrian Candu added that the Democrats were expecting the answer of the ACUM bloc till the beginning of the next week. And even if the invitation is not accepted, the PDM Executive Council will hold a meeting for subsequent decisions.
