Moldovan authorities set up actions to get right to export meat, eggs to EU

Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici today convened a working meeting with the representatives of the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) on assessing implementation of the action plan for Moldova to get the right to export poultry meat and category B eggs to the European Union.
To export animal products to the EU, the Republic of Moldova must successfully pass the DG-Sante audit mission scheduled for September 2019, fulfilling a number of basic conditions.
"We have set up with ANSA a number of actions due to be completed within a week. Thus, the agency will provide full information on accreditation of laboratories to the international standard ISO 17025 and the preparation of national operators in the field of animal products' manufacture,” he said.
According to the Ministry of Economy, exports of Moldovan products to the EU market during 2018 reached 1.86 billion dollars, accounting for 68.79% of Moldova's exports.
