Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) will carry out a post-election analysis on the 24 February elections and will come up with proposals to improve the Election Code. CEC head Alina Russu made the statement in an interview exclusively for MOLDPRES.
The results of the elections will be analyzed for a long time by politicians, analysts and CEC members, who will come up with proposals to improve the procedures applied by election officials and new regulations.
"We should treat this issue with care, especially on regulations, as not always a new provision can solve the problem. A thorough analysis will be needed and we will come up with recommendations on several topics,” Russu said.
The CEC head noted that no candidate requested the cancellation of the national constituency elections, but only some uninominal districts, and the international observers said that the irregularities that occurred on 24 February had no influence on the final results.
