Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/ – The decision of the Government to increase scholarships was published in the Official Journal today. The decision enters into force on the date of its publication.

The Executive's decision provides for indexation of 4.9 per cent of the scholarships for pupils and students. The scholarships will be increased for pupils in technical vocational education, undergraduate and master students, doctoral students, postdoctoral students, clinical and resident doctors.

Thus, the students will receive scholarships worth MDL 880, and for the pupils of the technical vocational education the scholarship will be up to MDL 690, depending on the category.

Also, the PhD students will benefit from a scholarship in the amount of MDL 1,155, as well as the medicine students of the 1st year. The scholarship of the Republic will be MDL 1,525 and the Government scholarship – MDL 1,270.

For it, the authorities have allocated financial means in the amount of MDL 12.5 million, stipulated in the Law of the state budget (BS) for 2019.
