Moldovan government earns over twice more in public property’s sale in 2018 compared to 2017

Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/ – The revenues from the privatisation of public property assets paid in the state budget (BS) in 2018 amounted up to MDL 366 million, by MDL 200 million more than in 2017, according to the Public Property Agency’s (APP) information and media communication service.
In 2018, the APP organised 3 commercial contests, 2 investment contests, 3 strike auctions, 2 rounds of auctions on the regulated stock market, where there were exposed 70 state – owned public goods (most of them repeated) to privatisation.
Among the most attractive privatised assets are: Air Moldova and Vestmoldtransgaz, responsible for the construction of the Ungheni – Chisinau gas pipeline, a joint – stock company (SA) that was acquired by Transgaz, Romania. The share of 90.7 per cent owned by the state at Tutun – CTC privatised in 2018 was sold in early 2019 for the amount of about MDL 167.
The APP also states that in 2018, as a public partner, it signed 3 contracts of public – private partnership (PPP), there were approved feasibility studies for 5 other partnership projects submitted by the central public administration authorities and there were monitored 45 PPP contracts and concessions registered in the Public heritage register (RPP).
