This refers to complaints from applicants for social benefits based on bilateral pension insurance agreements, the number of which has increased significantly.
The institution noted that the pensioners' pension files are not issued personally, but based on official requests from the pension fund departments of the mentioned states.
At the same time, the information required to be submitted to the competent institutions on the basis of bilateral agreements in the social security with Bulgaria, Portugal, Romania, Luxembourg, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, confirming the length of service, benefit/non-benefit of social benefits can be issued both under the applicant’s personal request and the interpellation of the relevant institutions in the country which a bilateral agreement on social security is concluded with.
If no bilateral social insurance agreement is signed, applicants may apply personally to get information on insured income, the type and size of the social benefit established at the CNAS territorial subdivision, within the last domicile.
Currently, Moldova applies 12 agreements on social security. According to the latest data, CNAS pays 540 monthly pensions to Moldovan citizens residing in other countries. At the same time, other 700 Moldovans who have worked legally in foreign countries receive pensions there.
