Moldova's electric energy distribution, supply companies demand adjusting of tariffs

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/ - The electric energy distribution and supply companies demand that the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) adjusts the tariffs, after the companies have signed the delivery contracts for the period 1 April 2019 – 31 March 2020. ANRE published energy specialists’ demands for initial consultations on its official webpage.  

The enterprise with foreign capital Gas Natural Fenosa Energy Supply asks to take into account a two-per cent increase in the energy’s purchasing price, the volume of energy provided, which is by seven per cent less than in 2018, the 4.9 per cent inflation rate, transport tariffs and other indexes.   

Gas Natural Fenosa Energy Supply demands increase in the tariff for household consumers by 0.01 lei, from 1.79 lei for one KW/hour at present to 1.80 lei + 0.25 lei. Also, a tariff of 1.61 lei + 0.25 lei is demanded for the consumers whose installations are connected to the medium-tension 6-10 KV electricity distribution networks.        

The stock company Nord Electric Energy Supply demands a 0.18-lei increase in the tariff for electric energy delivered to residents, up to 2.09 lei for one KW/hour.  

The last adjusting of tariffs for electric energy was made by the National Energy Regulatory Agency on 15 June 2018. At that time, ANRE ruled to cut the electric energy tariff by 0.10 lei, after discussions at public meeting. The price for the electric energy supplied by Gas Natural Fenosa Energy Supply to household consumers was set at 1.79 lei for one KW/hour, against the previous one of 1.99 lei. The tariff was cut from 2.12 lei for one KW/hour to 1.91 lei for the household consumers from northern Moldova, who are clients of Nord Electric Energy Supply company.    

ANRE presented for initial consultation also a demand on adjusting the tariff by the RED Union Fenosa distribution company and of the supply tariff demanded by the Energocom central provider.
