Moldovan government to have extensive powers in waste management

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the law amending certain legislative acts establishing new competences in the waste management will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova tomorrow.
Following the amendments to the legislation, local authorities will be responsible only for collecting, ensuring conditions for separate collection and transport of waste, and the government will have extensive national competences in the waste management.
The document amending the legislation was approved by the cabinet of ministers through accountability, and the application of the new provisions will be made within the funds allocated in the state budget for this area.
